Do you think any types of recreational drugs should be legal?

There already are legal recreational drugs - alcohol and tobacco. Why they remain perfectly legal while relatively far less dangerous recreational drugs are banned is beyond me.

Yeah. Look at prohibition, it didn't stop anyone from doing it. It only made drinking more dangerous as well as accessible to younger people due to there being no age limit. If drugs were legal it would be another thing to tax and make money from, would prevent drugs being laced with other drugs, would take the thrill of doing something illegal away for some people and there could be a minimum age placed so 12 year olds aren't smoking pot as much,

It really depends on how you classify 'recreational'. Heroin should be legal only because of its addictive nature and because it would keep the garbage off the streets and stop distribution by criminals and terrorists. Heroin could be handled very easily be the medical community to assist addicts instead of jailing them which has been a complete and utter failure since it was outlawed.In fact, the entire 'war on drugs' has been the single biggest failure any government in history has ever embarked on and more people with no criminal pasts have been jailed because of it than anything in history unless you count the old soviet system of jailing people for not liking the government.Short answer: No...Long answer: Yes.

I think drugs need to be legal as much of the money is being used for firearms and terrorism.The government makes money from legal drugs that do more damage than street drugs.

I don't think legalizing marijuana is the States would be too bad, but I must say it's a little annoying when people are passionate about the subject. There are much more important things to worry about.
