so, im a vegetarian.. and i need some advice =]there is this dish i used to LOVE [tuna, corn, mayo, pickles, and hot cheetos in a sandwich] and i want to know if any fellow vegetarians know of a tuna substitute for this recipe? also, substitutes for any kind of meat that i can get at walmart or kroger? this way i dont have to cook separate meals for my boyfriend and i.and one last thing- maybe a nutrition chart? like a food pyramid for vegetarians =D i want to make sure im not missing out on any important part of a healthy diet. THX =]sea food is NOT  vegetarian. vegetarians do not eat the flesh of ANY animal.. people that eat no meat exept for sea food are pescatarians.

there are a lot of meat substitutes. Morningstar farms makes steak and chicken strips, and hamburger stuff. Several others too. Smart foods has taco meat, barbecue. another has lettuce wraps, sausages. There's a sub for everything. except tuna ;)I never thought about it before, but I've never seen artificial seafood. then again, i don't like seafood, so i haven't been looking for it.

Have you tried the Morningstar or Bocha chicken strips?  They are fantastic and you can use them just like you would a chicken strip, in a sandwich or salad, and I bet if you chopped them up you could use them in the tuna recipe you are talking about.  Yum.
