I have asthma so here goes. Some signs are shortness of breath, wee zing, coughing especially in cold air, extreme difficulty breathing in hot and humid conditions. If in doubt see a doctor or better yet a pulmunalogist.

Hi, I am Stephanie.  I have mild asthma.  I used to take medications for this but I have stopped a while back but, my symptoms have seemed to be getting slightly worse now and I might need to go back to the medications.  I know what some of the symptoms are like and my symptoms include shortness of breath, coughing, tightness of the throat, not being able to catch my breath after running, poor endurance, feeling weak, and lightheaded.  So if you have some of those symptoms or more you might have asthma.  You should probably visit the doctor to find out what is causing your breathing problems, it could possibly be something besides asthma.

Asthma is a very serious thing and it can kill you so even if after seeing all of these symptoms you should consult your doctor. Here is some of the information that i found for you: What Are the Signs and Symptoms of Asthma?Common asthma symptoms include: Coughing. Coughing from asthma is often worse at night or early in the morning, making it hard to sleep. Wheezing. Wheezing is a whistling or squeaky sound that occurs when you breathe. Chest tightness. This may feel like something is squeezing or sitting on your chest. Shortness of breath. Some people who have asthma say they can't catch their breath or they feel out of breath. You may feel like you can't get air out of your lungs. Not all people who have asthma have these symptoms. Likewise, having these symptoms doesn't always mean that you have asthma. A lung function test, done along with a medical history (including type and frequency of your symptoms) and physical exam, is the best way to diagnose asthma for certain. More information can be found on the site that i have provided for you.I do hope that you do not have asthma, but i can be controlled with a healthy lifestyle though.Godd Bless! =)
