I think SAM-e is relatively new. And since it is not a prescription, I have to assume that a large part of this is herbal. I haven't heard of anyone on it, but I think that before you try taking it, let your doctor know that you are thinking about trying it. Sometimes, prescription antidepressants can cause thoughts of suicide in people. That is why they don't prescribe them to anyone under the age of 18. Since you are so young, I would definitely talk to a doctor first, even though SAM-e isn't a prescription drug.
