What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne. Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:http://www.17acnetreatments.comHope this  helps  Wink

Before following any of the tips found here on how to treat acne or how to control acne on, consult a dermatologist1-Stop using oil-based makup, hair products, and similar cosmetic products if you want to get rid of acne.2-Avoid harsh soaps and facial scrubs if you want to get rid of acne faster. 3-Taking showers regularly and washing your face with gentle soaps will help get rid of acne.4-Don't pinch, prod, or poke your blemishes to get rid of acne.5-Using a dermatologist recommended acne lotion will help you get rid of acne.6-mild acne lotions 7-Stronger antibiotics can be used to control bacterial growth and acne infections in more severe cases,8-There is one alternative for women, and that's the use of certain oral contraceptives.

There is no easy answer for this particular question.  The problem with acne is that everyone's body responds to different acne treatments.  When I was younger, my mother would tell me to "scrub" my face harder and that was the reason I wasn't getting rid of my acne. When you are in your teen years (and even into your twenties) your hormones are unbalanced.  Your skin produces excessive amounts of oil which bacteria love to live in.  The oil, dirt, and bacteria collect in the tiny openings in your skin called pores.  After a few days, the dirt and foreign matter in your pores begins to restrict flow of oil to the surface of the skin.  This buildup of naturally secreting oil is most commonly what causes a pimple.  The solution is not universal, but in most cases the easiest way to help your body out with fighting off the bacteria is to wash your face with a washcloth at least once a day.  During this washing, your job is to apply enough pressure to clean off the dead skin cells without actually hurting your skin.  You will be able to tell the difference. After washing your face thoroughly (usually in the shower), you can apply a topical anti-bacterial acne product. (fancy words for acne medicine)  I PERSONALLY RECOMMEND:  look for any acne wash that contains Triclosan.  It is an effective means of eliminating bacteria, and the suds in the wash also help to clean the oil and dirt out of your pores.  When you are shopping for a skin cream,  look out for anything with "benzoyl peroxide". It usually comes in gel or cream form.  SOME people will tell you that it will dry your skin out and make it burn or itch if you use too much.  I use it because my skin is oily.  If you skin is not quite as oily,  try using an acne product that contains Salicylic Acid.  (its not a painful acid, actually you cant even feel it working)As far as things you can EAT to make your skin appear clearer, try foods that are high in vitamins and minerals.  Think nutritious foods you wouldn't normally eat like fruits and vegetables.Vitamins C, E, A, K, and B complex can all help improve skin health. You can find most of these vitamins in pill form at your local supermarket.  I recommend C and E.I hope this helps, and the biggest thing you can do to help your acne is to keep to a routine when washing your face.  Repeat the treatments nightly, and you will see results within a week or so.Good luck!

Simple pro active. You seem them commecials? buy it.Its peroxide, kills bacteria, and gentle on skin, drys them all up.Also just as good is tea tree oil, but not as effective.oH yeah, another little trick use hair removal liquid, dry acne up over night, jsut dont spill on anywhere that you got hair u wanna keep.Antioxidants are good, but wont do a thing. Your better off taking a good multivitamin.
