Hi!So, I am 22, and I have never really had what you would describe as problem skin.. maybe a few zits here and there while going through puberty.  Within the last month or so, my face has gotten out of control... there seems to be new zit everyday and I don't know what is causing it... what is the best way to treat it without causing more acne?  I have very sensitive skin... right now i'm just using cetephyl and an astringent to dry out the zit.  Please help! Thanks Smiley

It is believed that adult acne is caused by the overproduction of hormones in the body, which is why most treatments focus on lowering the level of hormones. Adult acne is usually treated with drugs under the supervision of a professional dermatologist. From my personal experience I can recommend a simpler treatment that is, believe it or not, just as effective.I heartily recommend The ClearPores System to fight your adult acne both from outside and INSIDE, with its herbal blend. You can visit the official site for more info: http://www.clearpores.com/clicks/clickthrough.html?a=150901Adult acne is not as infrequent as people like to think, but that does not mean that it has to be allowed to become a social drawback. If you suffer from adult acne, then you should see your doctor or simply give the ClearPores System a try. You’d be surprised how many adults got rid of their acne using the excellent ClearPores. Whatever the choice, you have my best wishes.

You should not use a drying agent like astringent. Go to highonhealth.org

You should try Zenmed's Derma Cleanse Acne System, which is a very effective acne treatment that suits any type of skin, age and heals acne quickly. I have found relief from the severe acne that I had after using it. Try it, it won't let you down. The system which is purely herbal consists of 3 products, a facial cleanser, an acne gel and easy to swallow capsules. All products are completely herbal. The facial cleanser helps to clean the outer surface of the skin from dirt, oil and bacteria. The acne gel is used to clear the skin of acne quickly, The gel helps heal acne by unclogging pores and eliminating bacteria from the innermost layer of the skin to the surface. The gel also helps to reduce the redness, swelling and scarring that often accompanies acne. The capsules which is a key component of this acne system attacks the root cause of acne working to cleanse, detoxify and relax the body. This not only helps heal current acne, it also helps to prevent future breakouts. Try it, I'm 34 and it worked for me and so should also be good for you.

Since you did not have major problem while going through puberty, I will try two approaches1. Use Pepto Bismol, It works good on sensitive skin and its cheap2. Take Vitamin B5, Vitamin Chttp://www.indiacurry.com/women/acnehomeremedy.htmPink Mask (Pepto-Bismol) for WhiteheadsDo Not use on Dry skin.Pepto-Bismol is a gentle product formulated for the human stomach. Use warm water to wash your face. Apply about 2 teaspoons to your face, and leave it on for about 25 minutes. Wash away with warm water. Use two times a day.You may use 'Milk Of Magnesia' just like Pepto-Bismol. I prefer Pepto-Bismohttp://www.indiacurry.com/women/acnevitamins.htmAcne and Vitamin SupplementsFoods do not cause Acne, but Vitamins can help.Vitamin AVitamin A is good to strengthen the skin. Overdose can lead to pimples, complications during pregnancy and menstruation. To reduce the impacts of overdose, significant part of Vitamin A should be taken as Beta Carotene (7,500 IU0, and a small amount  Vitamin A as Retinol (up to 2,500 IU).B VitaminsVarious studies indicate that Vitamins B3, B5, and B6 are helpful. Some nutritionist recommend large dosages of Vitamin B5 for Acne. Following may be used as a daily intake guideB3: 250 mg per dayB6: 150 mg per dayB5: 150 mg per dayAntioxidantsVitamin E, and Vitamin C play a significant part for healthy skin.E: 400 IU per dayC: 1, 000 mg per dayZinc25 mg per day

I've tried alot of things even that stuff listed before my answer and had no luck.  Antibiotics worked for me for a while but as soon as I got off them, the acne came right back.   Try this: http://www.skinid.com/econsumer/clearskin/index.viewI've been on it for 3 weeks and my skin looks SOO much better.  Good luck and hang in there.

if the cause of acne is overproduction of hormones in the body, should the treatment be on the inside? i mean is there a drug that can maintain normal production of hormones in the body?

Hormonal imbalance is one f the main reasons for acne. However, a slight change in your lifestyle can make a huge difference. Dr. Davis of Natural body in Balance has an experience of 25 years in Chiropractic. Visit Chiropractor to know more about acne and its cure or about Dr. Davis.

Correct.  Now if you want to try other products, cleocin-t gel is also helpful in treating acne.  Just apply it twice a day on the affected areas.  Of course, keep the area clean.  The product is available in any local or online pharmacy out there like Pharmacy Overnight.  Hope this helps!
