I have moderate acne, and I've tried just about everything. I wash my face numerous times throughout the day, use Clearisil, mosturizer, persa gel, and stress fighter. I use these things moderately, but my acne keeps getting worse. What are some ways to reduce the amount of acne you get? What are good products or treatments?I've really been struggling. Help me out please.

First, try not to wash your face more than twice a day. Second, I am just like you! Try using Hydrogen Peroxide, apply with a cotton ball, or pad. Don't forget to put Petroleum Jelly on you eyebrows, or else they will turn an orange color. You can also try Baking Soda, either with water or lemon juice. I find it works best with lemon juice. But, it can irritate your skin if you use it as a mask, so the first time just scrub into your face and rinse off, slowly extending the time you have it on your face. Hope you get some good advice. The maximum number of times you should wash your face is twice a day, anymore causes your skin to over produce oil from you stripping it. Make sure to be gentle with your skin, overdoing it can irritate your skinCheck to make sure that your facial cleanser is not causing them first, the first link I put list ingredients that are in most facial cleansers and will tell if they're irritating or can clog pores. The sites I listed have good forums and articles to browse about your skin, and the Makeupalley one is where people listed reviews about all type of skin products.

Try to limit your face washing to once a day. I use Proactiv Refining Mask, just the mask, not the other products (you can find it cheap on ebay). I put the mask on my pimples before I go to bed, and rinse it off in the morning. It takes away some pimples, and the redness is completely gone. Also, Origins has this product called Spot Blemisher, you can wear it during the day, it also works really well.

first, don't listen to some of these people. they have no idea what their talking about. you should really go to a dermatologist because they are skin professionals. even if its not bad. they know the best products for your skin type. the people have no idea what your acne is like so how can they tell you what to use?

I have also struggled w/ acne mainly after i gave birth to my daughter.  my hormones were a mess and it took nearly a year before i could get it under control.  I had to go see a dermatologist and he put me on Benzoyl Peroxide 4% creamy wash and also Spironolactone 100mg. on a daily basis and i also started taking Yaz Birth control to help w/ my hormonal acne.  I know that washing your face too much can actually make your acne worse.  You have more oil production if you wash your face too much.  Typically your suppose to wash your face twice a day.  I don't know if this info. was much help to you, but, i know what it's like having acne...it really has dramatic affect on your self esteem!   ps. I have had good luck using clean & clear for sensitive skin (toner) and also clean & clear acne moisturizer. Good luck!!

get an appt. at the dermatologist. it's usually covered because acne is considered a medical condition! He will probably put you on a topical treatment like retin a and an antibiotic like minocycline. usually it will clear up everything. if that doesnt work out drink LOTS of water and eat healthy foods. was your hands and pillow covers as much as you can. clean your cell phone and do you best to not touch your face or squeeze your zits. great brands to try would be proactiv and DDF. And make sure you're only washing your face twice a day: in the morning and at night. Overwashing can make things worse!!

I would recommend Zenmed's Derma Cleanse Acne System, which is a very effective acne treatment that suits any type of skin and age. I have found relief from the severe acne that I had after using it. Try it, it won't let you down. The system consists of 3 products, a facial cleanser, an acne gel and easy to swallow capsules. All products are completely herbal. The facial cleanser helps to clean the outer surface of the skin from dirt, oil and bacteria. The acne gel is used to clear the skin of acne quickly, The gel helps heal acne by unclogging pores and eliminating bacteria from the innermost layer of the skin to the surface. The gel also helps to reduce the redness, swelling and scarring that often accompanies acne. The capsules which is a key component of this acne system attacks the root cause of acne working to cleanse, detoxify and relax the body. This not only helps heal current acne, it also helps to prevent future breakouts. You can either buy this acne treatment system at stores, at amazon or directly online from Zenmed.
